She can walk backwards. She can run. But you can forget about walking forward. A flu shot triggered a neurological mistake, dramatically changing her life.

I hope this isn't really true. If it is, I'm going to hell.

Thousands and thousands of people get flu shots every day. Some crazy shit is bound to happen to some of them around the same time. Correlation <> Causation. Vaccines are safe. Life is not.

You know.. I laugh at a lot of stuff on fazed, most everything actually. Though after watching that video I can't help but feel incredibly bad for that girl. If its fake, then great.. if not, man.. thats pretty damn horrible. (I do agree however, that this is NO reason not to still get vaccinated. There will always be exceptions.)

The real tragedy is that this woman based her entire life on her appearance and now she's hosed. I bet her equally beautiful person husband leaves her for a "real" cheerleader.

Getting the flu sucks but it actually isn't likely to kill you and if it did, I'd still rather have that than turn into a backwards running burden to the people that care about me.

Billions. According to the CDC there have been TWO, reports of serious dystonia reactions. One in 2009 from somebody 18-29, one in 2008 from somebody 30-39 and one NOT SERIOUS reaction in 1997 in the 50-59 age group.

Out of how many odd billion vaccines given, three cases have been reported. I'd have better luck of winning the lottery, getting struck by lightning and being abducted by aliens in the same day.

That happened to me once. I took the winnings as a lump sum, then traded it in for quarters so that I could swim in it like scrooge mcduck, at which point the metal attracted a lightning bolt, and then the aliens came and stole all the money to fuel their rocket ship, but not before erasing everyone memories... The H1N1 shot is a conspiracy. It is filled with nano-bots, which when triggered will turn the populace into government controlled robo-zombies. Looks like some of this chick's bots became active prematurely.

I'm left wondering if she's able to sing or speak in limerick/rhyme when she can't talk normally.

I can't for the life of me remember the name of the author who had something happen to his brain and was left unable to talk normally, but was able to talk if his words were in rhyme.

It's no doubt going to be extremely difficult, but I reckon with lots of practice she could probably trick her brain into thinking she's running when she isn't.

Will the 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine contain thimerosal?
The 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccines that FDA is licensing (approving) will be manufactured in several formulations. Some will come in multi-dose vials and will contain thimerosal as a preservative. Multi-dose vials of seasonal influenza vaccine also contain thimerosal to prevent potential contamination after the vial is opened.

wiki said:

Thiomersal (INN) (C9H9HgNaO2S), or sodium ethylmercurithiosalicylate, commonly known in the United States as thimerosal, is an organomercury compound (approximately 49% mercury by weight) used as an antiseptic and antifungal agent.

Glad to know the CDC thinks mercury is safe for your bloodstream.
Also glad to know darwinism will prevail.

Some vaccines are good, some are not.

The human body contains lots of different metals. The thing with mercury is that it tends to get stored in the brain. :O

With all things there is a safe level, too much and the body takes damage. What is too much is different for each person, but a yearly maximum is worked out for the average Joe. What wont hurt 999,999 people might just hurt 1.

Mercury is a great preservative and is therefore found in all vaccines. The more vaccinations you're given in a year, the closer you come to that maximum. As an adult you'd probably have to have a sh*tload of vaccinations to even come close. A tiny small baby in the UK is expected to get 8 or more vaccinations in its first year.

Who knows if it's the mercury in the vaccine, or the virus itself that reacts badly with the person's body causing the damage. This woman was the 1 in a million. :(
