Awkward...
when do we get back to the making out part...

So I'm trying to think of something fun to print on business cards.

God I hope it's soon
Do you ever get overwhelmed by the infinite complexity of a single experience
and your inevitable failure to adequately represent such a thing through any meaningful media,
thus resulting in a depressing disengagement from one's own experience for fear of isolation?
Yeah me neither.

Yeah me neither.
How desperate are you to sound interesting?
Yeah, most of us just get up in the morning and go to work. You know, do something tangible and meaningful in the world.
slutbinwalla could very much benefit from 6 months or working on a road crew. Obamamoney is making a lot of manual labor positions like that very available. All you need is a SS#
This year, Christmas will be ours!
You just cut right to it.
manuel labor does put things in perspective for you
Manual labor puts a perspective into your life. You've obviously never done any, just by your posts. You could benefit from this. Also you would probably get paid a lot more than me.
What need is there for perspective when geodave is around?
Yeah, perspective like, "I like it so much better when I'm not doing this" and "My last job, which was nothing like this one, was so much better. Wish I hadn't been laid off."
You're young. You should work hard for your money.
I've worked construction, fishing and carpeting before,
and all paid well and felt as mediocre as any other job.
and all paid well and felt as mediocre as any other job.
Tell me how much fun roofing is. Tell me how much fun roadwork is. Tell me how much fun plumbing is.
You haven't worked much.
You haven't worked much.
Sometimes pain is fun,
when it's the pain of a hard work done.
when it's the pain of a hard work done.
Saw II's over.
1 to 9 down, 1 to 39 across. What's next?
1 to 9 down, 1 to 39 across. What's next?
You can only do that shit for a few years, like under 30 for sure. But it really sets your perspective.
Better than whining all the time.
Better than whining all the time.
some pain is good and beneficial, no doubt
I wonder if I can get a job doing genuinely mindless work.
Like, as long as I don't have to think about it, I can work at a good clip for, like, ten hours at a stretch, as long as I get bathroom and smoke breaks.
But every job I've had just couldn't seem to keep from interrupting me to make me think.

I'd go fish in a heartbeat if there were any room for greenhorns.
Hard, rewarding work for great pay.
Bonus points is the near complete isolation.

Fuck me, I agree.
I've always thought I wanted jobs that were "stimulating" and "challenging"
but when I worked retail I could waste 8 hours and not recall a fucking thing of it
and that was my most successful job.
im out of guinness
I've got 3 more.
I just want a job where I don't sit at a computer all day.
Definitely one where I don't surf the internet.
Long story short, I just want to make surfboards.

I have zero reasons to talk about South Dakota.
Unless I'm talking about how it sucks.
Unless I'm talking about how it sucks.
Nah, I lived there for a few years, South Dakota is all right, unless you leave Sioux Falls. Thats goodam indian country, and I'm not kidding

Truth be told I know next to nothing about South Dakota.
And that's why it sucks.
I fear the unknown.

Indians, like, people from Indiana?
Or REAL Indians, like, from Indonesia?

Hot Springs, SD, was pretty sweet when we went through there on a family road trip.
I TAKE BACK EVERYTHING!

then do you know why the lady at the mt rushmore ticket booth kept calling my black lab a "sioux puppy" ????
btw, south dakota was a decent drive through.
Western South Dakota is amazing. The Badlands will take your breath away. The Black Hills, pretty cool.
But do NOT go onto the reservations.
Whitey does not belong there.

Ever want to feel like you were a black guy in the 50's south? Go to a reservation. Or Hawaii.
Who're you calling whitey?
i make better frybread than any of them
Uh, me, and possibly you
But you already work for the state
I know! And the scanning and filing and data entry part is great.
Don't get me wrong; I'm often coming up with projects and policy solutions to improve things overall,
But if I could get good pay just for being a cog... I wouldn't mind doing that, at least for a few months at a time.
Working for the state pays double cog wage. Unless you work for the state manually. I did. Also if you have enough education to get into a defense contractor, thats gold. It was the most worthless time I ever spent, but they paid out the ass.

Nothing has paid less and been more tiring than babysitting.
I don't recommend it.

Well now it
