No way, this isn't some Stardust type of shit. Frighteners was a good ass flick, loved it! Way darker than I first expected after seeing the trailer.
Stardust is complete crap.
thet's a goy drissed up loike a sheila!
Crocodile Dundee came out in 1986.
You know what else came out in 1986?
Aliens
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Highlander
Labyrinth
And Crocodile Dundee made more money in the US than all of those movies combined.

So even though people cry that America's getting dumber ever year, it's clear that the nation actually reached its idiotic nadir in 1986.
And that's why Crocodile Dundee got a screenplay nomination.

Yeah, the trailer plays like Gremlins or Back to the Future, since it's a Zemekis film. It even feels like that kind of movie - until about halfway through.
You did leave 2 films off your list for 1986
Top Gun
Platoon
People today forget how big Platoon was back then, it did win Best Picture.
Other "less successful" pics from 1986 that stand the test of time
Blue Velvet
Big Trouble in Little China
The Hitcher
The Fly
Heartbreak Ridge
Manhunter (Original version of Red Dragon and first onscreen Dr Lector)
Stand By Me
Sid and Nancy
All of which I consider better than Croc
Top Gun
Platoon

Yeah, but Top Gun made more money than Crocodile Dundee. And it's softcore gay porn.
Big Trouble in Little China obviously being the best out of that group.

Manhunter fuckin' rules

Right up there with the first Hitcher MB, Rutger was awesome in that.
Are people in here bashing on Crocodile Dundee?
Because they need to step back and reexamine their sad, sad lives.

Not bashing so much as pointing out the better movies from that year and amazed it won Best screenplay

There's maybe 3 better movies on that list.
MAYBE
whoops Hannah and Her Sisters won
Maybe 3? Look at that list and tell me you wouldn't pick almost any of them over Croc to throw into a dvd payer and watch right now.
I'd pick Big Trouble, The Fly and Aliens from the other list of Crocodile Dundee.
The others are whatever.

I am glad to see love for Manhunter in here, so many people don't even know this movie exists and it is so much better than it's almost frame for frame remake Red Dragon.

Brian Cox was a very good Hannibal Lector, kinda suprised they didn't use him in Lambs.

Manhunter rocked!
One of Michael Mann's best films!
Head CSI dude was the star William what's his name and dude who played. And the guy who played the Tooth Fairy was awesome! I should have been him for Halloween, not one would get it though, but it would be creepy.

There's a song where the tooth fairy is seeing the blind chick kiss / say goodnight to the office douchebag.
The words 'Strong as I am' are repeated.
I want that song
I cannot find it

What about Fear? Him and Marky Mark!
Wow that's cheap for 6 movie collection on BlueRay
To Live and Die in LA may still be in my top 3 for cop movies. I look for it in bargain bins everytime I see them.
