I would now like to review a stupendous movie called Franka Potente's Butt Run Lola Run.
I could watch this German girl run all over Bavaria. I think she really has what it takes toget anal plowed make it in Hollywood. There should be more movies of Franka Potete's Butt German girls running around Berlin getting fucked saving the world. Hollywood needs to make note of it.

I second that... strike. Mmm-hmm.
OK, so I'll just throw a couple out. If you have an appreciation for absurdity, definitely check out Wet Hot American Summer (only about the 100th time I've recommended this on fazed) and Shaolin Soccer. I hope I get SS for xmas.

Better hope you don't get the WRONG version of the damn thing.
Seriously, the British version cuts out so much of the stupid/pointless parts, it pissed me off royally (no pun intended).

Whoa, thanks for the heads-up. The stupid/pointless parts are what help make it what it is.
Another one I have to recommend, a more recent flick, is Before Sunset. But not for you, TBW, 'cause nothing happens in it. Seriously. Sequel to 1995's brilliant Before Sunrise. See both back-to-back.
Also, I <3 Julie Delpy.
Saw i think sucked, all the interesting parts were in the trailers, but aparently there was alot of forshaddowing if you watch it a second time, personally i'm gonna wait till video, not worth my money again. Saw seemed like a book that had 8 chapters, but the movie only showed us chapters 2-5, wicked weird and unexplained.
Now The Grudge was really good, it was actually able to creep me out, now not like the Ring could creep me out if you let yourself get into it the first time, you couldn't just think realistically while watching The Grudge and not get creeped out by it, I highly recommend it.

I'm watching "But I'm a Cheerleader" right now, and it's absolutely hilarious. It's about a lezzo girl who gets sent to a sort of private school for turning hetero. Only a half hour into it, and I recommend it to anyone, even if you're straight. It's funny no matter what, but I think you'd get more out of it if you swing at least a bit homo.
Don't take that too much to heart though...watch it with your girl/boyfriend if it'll make you feel more straight. There's a lot of battle-of-the-sexes in here, and a lot of funny stereotypes.
Oh, and RuPaul dressed as a man...I don't think I'd ever seen that before.

That sounds fucking hilarious stile and I'm secure enough to watch it alone without feelilng like I might suddenly turn into a puffter.
Man, you know whats the greatest movie ever?
"La Dolce Vita" by Federico Fellini
It was recently showing at one of the theaters here so I went to go see it (i've seen it before, but only on some crappy VHS from hollywood video). I might go see it again tomorrow if it's still showing, that or the David Lynch movies (he's the Director of the Month over at Ridgeway, another theatre here, so they're showing like all of his movies.)

Not to sound militantly gay, but I think there should be more gay movies like that one...not in your face "oh look at me I'm queer and proud of it" sort of movies, but just like this, sort of tongue in cheek (so to speak).
I actually had an idea for a movie script once...I think most people have an idea for one every now and again, but're just too lazy to actually write it...I definitely fall in that category. It was a vaguely autobiographical romantic comedy from the point of view of a guy who's attracted to his best friend in high school but isn't sure if his friend returns the feeling or not...the interesting part of the movie would be making the friend ambiguous. Sort of like "The Lady or the Tiger," you'd never know whether he was or not. Was gonna call it "Schrodinger's Cat," and in the last scene, like when they're both graduating, he finally gets the nerve to kiss his friend, and as soon as he does, roll credits...it seemed like the sort of movie that could very easily turn into a cult classic, to me.

Also saw Scarface for the first time yesterday. I don't even need to review it in depth...you all know it's a great movie. And if you haven't seen it, see it. Nothing I could say about it would really do it justice...see it, and then go play GTA Vice City.
ooh ooh, i finally saw Boondock Saints the other day, twas the shiznet!
"But I'm a Cheerleader"
Natasha Lyonne is awesome.
But I'm a Cheerleader was a shitty as fuck movie.
I saw it when I was 16, and even then I thought it was stupid lame.

I heard "Rochell Rochell" is pretty good. Not as good as "Chunnel" - but alright.
i finally saw Boondock Saints
I can't wait till the second one comes out
Boondock Saints: "Electric Boonaloo."
'Wonderland' was problably the first movie with Val Kilmer that I actually liked. For those of you not familiar it is about four brutal murders in LA during the early 80s. Kilmer plays John Holmes who was involved at some degree, the only question is how much involvement. Really interesting story. Some of the acting was a little stilted, but considering the cast of B and C list stars (Kilmer, Kate Bosworth, Dylan McDermott, Lisa Kudrow, Jeneane Garofalo, Eric Begosian, Christina Appelgate) this should surprise no one. The best performance came from Tim Blake Nelson, and this should surprise no one.
'Thirteen Conversations about One Thing' would not be an enjoyable for a great number of fazers. Not that much really happens. I found addictive as a mood piece/character study. When 'Fuck Guilt' appeared on the screen in big letters, I was sold. Some uninspired acting (Never been a fan of Mathew McConnaughey or Clea DuVall), but a good performance by Alan Arkin as a cold, bitter, and lonely insurance exec.

I recently watched Star Wars. I give it a B.
'Thirteen Conversations about One Thing'
Is that the movie where that guy punches the girl in the face and breaks her nose?
Shaolin Soccer.
This is a funny movie, I got it on DVD.
I got to see Garden State this weekend and I think Zach Braff could have a bright future as a writer, director, actor, or all any combination of the three.

Unless you were talking about some other movie, Demon.

bridget jones:
Bridget takes a cab to Mark's office and is splashed by several passing cars. Soak and wet, she searches the building and happens upon Mark in a meeting with several important officials. They go out into the corridor and Mark finally proposes to her.
In the country Bridget's parents have a ceremony to renew their vows. As they are leaving her mother tosses the bouquet and Bridget falling backwards still manages to catch it. Same ol' "Bridg" but she is now willing to look to the future and is ready to accept that she is indeed finally happy.

Alfie:
The end of the movie is Alfie on a pier looking over the water. We see a blonde walking and realize it's Jane from the very beginning of the movie. Alfie walks up to her and they start talking. She's visably uncomfortable considering he never called her back and dumped her with no explanation. He tries to explain why, saying he gets nervous when things start to get serious. She looks at him and says, "The only person you need to make an explanation to is yourself.", then walks off.
Alfie ends the film acknowledging that so many women had taken him into their lives, accepted him, treated him wonderfully and he always just left them. He says that he thought he was getting a good deal, but he's come to realize he got the short end of the stick. It ends with you not really knowing if he's going to change his ways or not considering the sly grin he gives the camera in the end. You can't help but like him though.

My buddy came into work looking really downcast.
Denny: "The things you do for love.."
Hugo: "What?"
Denny: "My wife wanted to see that stupid fucking Bridget Jones movie. I had to go with her.
Every stupid cow in the county was there crowing about what a great movie it was. It was hell, I tells ya!! Utter HELL!!!"
Hugo: "The price you pay..."
I love the play on utters and cows. Genius.

Isn't the author of the Davinci Code American?
I haven't read it, but from descriptions I have heard it would seem that the description you want is "Americanized Name of the Rose crossed with Foucault's Pendulum".
Isn't the author of the Davinci Code American?
by American I mean the subject matter. Davinci Code was religious in nature while NT had an "American" (prior to America it wasn't Masonic).
anyway the movie sucked.
What is that one trilogy with the really strange long name? I can't be more specific because it's a really strange name (Not a particular word or anything). Anyone have any idea?
